Marco Slot is a Software Imagineer at Crunchy Data, where he's building Crunchy Data Warehouse, a modern PostgreSQL-based solution. He previously served as Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, architecting Citus for Azure Cosmos DB, and was Principal Engineer at Citus Data before its acquisition by Microsoft. Slot holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and a Master's in Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
