Joan Albert d'Escofet is a senior project manager and health information and data scientist technology expert at at the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS).
Bachelor degree both in Electronic Engineering and in Telecommunications Engineering (URL), he also holds a Master Degree in Business Administration by ESADE-Duke University, and the Advanced Program in Healthcare Management (IESE - 2018).
His career has always been linked to the healthcare sector as a long-term experienced manager in national and international projects. He has also worked for more than half of the different Catalan hospitals and, in the last years, he has been highly involved in the launch of the Data Analysis Program for Research and Innovation in Healthcare (PADRIS) at the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS).
Passionate about everything related with healthcare innovation and quality assessment and improvement, his main areas of expertise include hospital benchmarking, health operations management, policy and best practices deployment, patient centered process optimization, information systems & technology, big data, and machine learning for health.
